Patrick Renfrew2024-08-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Oregon Solar & Battery was great to work with, they were quick to communicate and provide a price they stood behind. They handled all the paperwork for state & federal rebates, the permits, and working with PPL. They were communitive as we started construction and were done in 2 days. Karen Ries2024-07-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t of asked for a better experience from Oregon, Solar And Battery. They took incredible care of me and took care of all my needs and my fears. They were very polite, honest, and caring about installing the product, attention to detail was at the forefront. I was so glad I did my homework and called other people that do solar. My experience was they don’t always tell you the truth. Not so with Oregon, Solar And Battery. I am a very, very happy customer. Fred Gebhart2024-07-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We thought long and hard about a solar installation and couldn't be happier with the system Oregon Solar & Battery installed. They weren't the cheapest of the seven installers that bid on our project, but they bent over backwards to design and tweak installations that exactly met our needs for size, power output, and battery storage. And we have never had a crew on site that was as cheerful, hard working, and efficient as these guys. On time, always ready to answer questions, the cleanest job site either of us has ever seen, and instantly responsive to questions after the system was up and running. Going from asking questions to planning, tweaking, scheduling, getting building permits and approvals, installing, and selling power back to the grid, Zyles Perryman always let us know what the next steps would be and when they would happen. I'm not sure what's better, seeing our Pacific Power bill plummet to the minimum $14 meter charge or knowing that we don't have to worry about power outages and service cuts, even during fire season. Donna Manning2024-07-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are enjoying our system. Its only been one month, but with the power outages it’s been wonderful having the battery pack with solar. They did a good job with installation. They accommodated with the changes we did too! I would recommend this company after getting other quotes. Robert Nieraeth2024-05-28Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Whoever wrote about that O.S.B. is a terrible company are out of their minds!! I found them efficient, punctual, and detail oriented. To date, our power bill has dropped immensely. We're really happy that we chose this company to do the install.
Are you considering solar power for your home or business in Oregon? You’re in luck! Oregon offers many generous incentive programs for alternative energy solutions, making it a fantastic location to take advantage of solar incentives
The federal government offers a tax credit for 30% of the cost of a residential or commercial solar system, with no upper limit. This credit is available for both existing homes and new construction.
For more information, check out their official website: www.energy.gov
If you install a home solar power system in Oregon, the value you’ve added to your home will not be included in the assessment of the property’s value for property tax purposes. This is a significant benefit for homeowners.
According to Energy.gov, properties with solar systems installed see an average increase in value of $15,000 over assessed value. Source: Energy.gov Article
This program allows you to receive credits for excess solar electricity generated by your system. To learn more about how it works, check out our FAQ page.
Oregon currently has relatively low electricity rates, it’s important to note that rates typically increase each year. By installing a solar power system, you can pay off your investment each year and move towards energy independence, saving you money in the long run.
If your electricity rates were to increase by 5% annually, you could end up spending significantly more money on electricity over time. For example, if you’re currently paying $100 per month for electricity, in just five years, you could end up paying $127.63 per month due to the annual 5% increase. Over a 10-year period, your monthly electricity bill could increase to $163.86.
By installing a solar power system, you can protect yourself from rising electricity costs and potentially save thousands of dollars over time. Not only will you be able to produce your own clean, renewable energy, but you can also take advantage of various solar incentives and rebates offered by the state of Oregon and local utilities, making it an even more financially savvy decision.
This program is available to customers of Pacific Power and PGE who install new home solar power systems on new or existing homes. The Energy Trust Cash incentive is based on system size and is generous. Give us a call to learn more about the current incentives, or explore the Energy Trust website for up-to-date information.
The Oregon Department of Energy’s (ODOE) rebates are available for customers who install solar power systems through an ODOE-approved contractor. The rebate amount is passed on to customers as savings, with no need to pay in advance and wait for a rebate check.
In some cases, low or moderate-income households can receive a rebate worth up to 60% of the system’s cost. Solar and storage installations must meet certain criteria and be installed by an ODOE-approved contractor. Give us a call to learn more about the current rebates, or explore the ODOE page for up-to-date information.
